We firmly believe in putting our faith into action, following Jesus’ example of helping those whom society forgets or deliberately ignores, for example:
· Those in debt
A free, first class, personal and holistic debt counselling service is provided to all, regardless of their faith, by Christians Against Poverty.
· The elderly
Pastoral and spiritual care is provided in care homes (Gift of Years, Bilton House) and hospital chaplaincy
· The homeless
Members help at the day centre on Newbold Road
· The lonely
Members visit local sheltered housing for tea and a chat, sometimes with campervan Elmer (pictured above)
· The poor
Our church collects for Rugby foodbank and our members volunteer for it, too
· The residents and schools in our area
We work with the local schools by providing a Christmas interactive nativity once a year for them to enjoy. We pray for local people, and also take prayer requests paddoxprayer@gmail.com (please respect others’ privacy by not disclosing inappropriate info)
